If you’re beginning to plan your wedding, you’ve likely discovered that choosing flowers is a challenging task. The experts at\u00a0Bloomin’ Bouquets<\/a>\u00a0can simplify the process by creating unique arrangements based on your vision. In this Vendor Spotlight, head designer JoAnn Jones discusses her creative inspiration for Bloomin’ Bouquets, as well as a few tips about the company.<\/p>\n

Where are you located?<\/span><\/p>\n

All of Bloomin\u2019 Bouquets creative work happens in our studio in Roswell, but we meet most of our clients at StudioWed or at their venue.<\/p>\n

Do you offer services to clients outside of Atlanta?<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of our brides have moved away from home for college and their careers, but they like to come home to Atlanta to celebrate with family.\u00a0 It is easy to share creative ideas over long distance with ease through the internet and Pinterest.<\/p>\n

How far in advance should clients begin meeting with you?<\/span><\/p>\n

One\u00a0year<\/b>\u00a0before their wedding, some have\u00a0even\u00a0started planning two years before their wedding. There are peak times for the Atlanta area, after Easter during spring, April and May, is beautiful and the weather is so wonderfully cool, so Bloomin\u2019 Bouquets is pretty busy.\u00a0 During the fall,\u00a0October, around the south we book quickly on dates that our footballs teams are playing away games.<\/p>\n

When did you know you wanted to become a floral designer?<\/span><\/p>\n

JoAnn Jones, floral designer with Bloomin\u2019 Bouquets has been interested in art her whole life.\u00a0 It is an intense view of the world.\u00a0 Flowers are now my palette of colors to create living art through bouquets.<\/p>\n

What is your favorite floral design trend at the moment?<\/span><\/p>\n

Bloomin\u2019 Bouquets\u2019 clients are unique and use succulent for casual and extravagant weddings.\u00a0 Succulents have that unusual blue green color and smooth texture. Succulents change color when the days are shorter and the temperature falls, turning to a soft pink some are deep eggplant. Succulents can blend well with the unique texture of fall dahlias.\u00a0\u00a0 We are also seeing\u00a0a trend towards mixing metals. The mixing of the metals makes for such a great, unique look. \u00a0CANDLES, we love to use lots of candles to create a soft, romantic look. \u00a0Is there ever enough candlelight?<\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite flower?<\/span><\/p>\n

Bloomin\u2019 doesn\u2019t have a favorite flower or a favorite color.\u00a0 Or even a favorite style!\u00a0 They all work differently together and next to each other. I am always looking for combinations of color and texture for flowers, linen and even in the event spaces.\u00a0 This is called \u2018juxtaposition\u2019 the instance of placing things close together or side by side, especially for comparison or contrast.<\/p>\n

What makes your service unique?<\/span><\/p>\n

Bloomin\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0Bouquets is a unique floral and event design company that combines classic creativity with innovation to bring our clients a unique\u00a0approach\u00a0to each floral design.<\/p>\n

Atlanta has remarkable floral talent ranging across many styles, we all respect our family and what we have learned from them.\u00a0 Flowers evoke many emotions from the roses your grandmother grew to the smell of wildflowers during a hike.\u00a0 We pride ourselves on listening to our client\u2019s ideas. We value our relationships with our clients and vendors who work together and pulling it all together to create that one look for your special day!<\/p>\n

What is something that most people don’t know about you or your business?<\/span><\/p>\n

We began this business as \u201colder\u201d ladies just hoping to create a hobby that would keep us busy as our children had grown and left the proverbial nest. \u00a0However that \u201chobby\u201d has turned into a full fledged business and we couldn\u2019t be prouder.<\/p>\n
