And we\u2019re elated to share with you this gorgeous macram\u00e9 cake designed by our sassy sugar superhero, Lisa Herrera of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acakecometrue.com\/\">A Cake Come True<\/a>! Check out this masterpiece which was recently published in <a href=\"http:\/\/americancakedecorating.com\/\">American Cake Decorating Magazine <\/a>in the \u201cFabulous Finishes and Textures\u201d issue. \u00a0We caught up with the cake artist herself to find out about the inspiration behind this beautiful edible art!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was most inspired by the ever so trendy Macram\u00e9 for the boho chic bride. It reminded me of my childhood growing up in the Philippines. We always had some kind of Macrame in the house. \u00a0The biggest challenge creating this cake was to try and make all the edible details look like real wool fabric. It was a real challenge to have it hang naturally without having everything fall. It also took an incredible amount of time to place each of the elements in place. I had to strategically place them in layers.
