Recently, we talked to Lorie Burcham from\u00a0Crumb de la Crumb\u00a0and asked her all about wedding cake and dessert trends, from flavors to designs. Here&#8217;s what she had to say:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/studiowed.net\/nashville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/CRUMB-Trends-211.jpg\" alt=\"simple nashville wedding cakes \" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>New flavors infused <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are working on new flavors all the time because couples each want something different based on what they like and prefer. We are working on more infusions from liqueurs, like chocolate cake with a Tennessee whiskey infusion. We really encourage our brides to think outside of the box because we can work together to create pretty much any flavor combination to help make the cake unique to that couple.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/studiowed.net\/nashville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/CRUMB-Trends-721.jpg\" alt=\"star wedding cake\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Color goes personal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As far as colors, we don\u2019t see many trends in that category. Couples are choosing such different combinations for their wedding colors that it really doesn\u2019t matter what the \u201cin\u201d color is that season, it depends on what the couple wants to work with.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/studiowed.net\/nashville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/CRUMB-Trends-111.jpg\" alt=\"crumb-de-la-crumb-wedding-cake\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brides seek organic designs <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Design-wise, the trend lately is that people want cakes that are more natural and organic looking. Simplicity seems to be key. Brides come into our shop and see our cake models and they love that we can do such unique designs that include textures and other elements above and beyond the standard cake with flowers.
