This Denver wedding couple was feeling a little southern when they picked their colors, channeling New Orleans they decided to add a little Mardi Gras to their wedding. They chose to go with dark purples that speaks of royalty, as every couple should feel like royalty on their wedding day. The yellows and greens they picked where chosen because they are the colors they think of when they were carefree children during summer. Their theme started with the dark purple that their bridesmaids were dressed in and the beautiful peridot necklace that were given as bridesmaids’ gifts. To finish their color scheme each bridesmaid was given a bouquet that had all of the colors, including bright yellow to bring it all together. To add the feel of walking down the Mardi Gras parade they used purples, gold and greens on the buffet tables. Their main meal will steer a little away from Mardi Gras but the dessert bar that they have will bring their guests right back to that feeling. The bride will wear a strapless gown with a pleated bow down the back, the lace will flow from the waist to the skirt where it gathers to add fullness. Her handsome groom will sport a black tux with a gold vest and tie. To break away from tradition of a guest book, each guest will be given a small feathered mask to write their names on the back, at the end of the night the guests will place their masks in a designated frame, to create their own unique design for the bride and groom.
