LWD is excited to be selected as the Flagship Salon for Love Accessories!  Festivities kick off Friday night with a special cocktail party to welcome designer Cori Middlebrooks. Appetizers, refreshments, and desserts provided for your enjoyment! Weekend Love hours: Friday 6pm – 9pm, Saturday 9am – 6pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm.

 June 18^th: Annual Highlands Street Fair

Emily and Peter are getting married this month in historic Golden at the Mother Cabrini Shrine. They started their engagement shoot at Red Rocks for these photos in some wonderful spring weather.  Then the engagement shoot then carried on to Mother Cabrini Shrine for a few more images and to walk through their ceremony site! Congratulations Emily and Peter!

Below are the steps that Catering by Design has taken to reduce their footprint on this great earth! They have learned many methods of being green by attending extensive training and have been certified by United States Environmental Protection Agency Region 8 for their Green Action Plan.

1. All disposables are compostable – they charge more for disposables that are not compostable.
2. They are creating a 100 Mile Menu – all the food items on this menu are within 100 miles of Denver.
3. They have established a “green team” to share ideas of how to be green and stay green.
4. Working with an organic disposal company to compost all kitchen scraps during preparation of menus and compost all leftover food items that cannot be donated to shelters.
5. Utilizing “green” cleaning products.
6. Using food items that are in season.
7. Recycle all paper, foil, plastic etc. with each staff having a recycle container in their office and recycle containers throughout the facility including the kitchen.
8. Trying to cut down in using paper for marketing – but utilizing flash drives with all of CBD’s information.
