Who is Laura Dombrowski?
I am a small town girl from the Midwest. I moved to Denver in 1997 to attend the University of Denver. There, I earned a business degree with a double major in finance and statistics. I also took most of my elective classes in photography at DU. Once I graduated in 2001, I couldn’t picture myself doing anything but photography.
In my twenties, I poured my heart into photography. I loved shooting everything, but weddings somehow stuck with me through the years. I loved the fashion, the decor, the style and all the love and emotions happening in one day. In the last ten years, I have been a bridesmaid 9 times, photographed over 100 weddings, and was finally a bride myself in October of 2009. I have seen it all from the backyard, do- it- yourself celebrations to the classic black-tie weddings. I have fallen completely and madly in love with the art of weddings.
Now in my early thirties, I needed a new challenge in my life. COUTUREcolorado WEDDING was born on February 14, 2010. Due to the success of WEDDING, COUTUREcolorado is growing and officially launched a sister site on August 1st, 2011: LIFE & STYLE.
What is COUTUREcolorado WEDDING?
It is a one-of-a-kind online magazine/blog and exclusive resource guide.
I thought there were a lot of incredible weddings happening right here in Colorado going unnoticed. I wanted to shine some light on the these weddings and on the wedding professionals that help create these incredible events.

People. This job enables me to connect to a lot of people. I love getting to know their stories. In one week, I worked with a fashion designer from Germany {Dannenman Pure} for a style shoot, then interviewed a man that makes custom skies and later that day photographed Willie Nelson. All of them have talent, passion and an inspiring story. They inspire me. And then I get to share their stories with my readers. I just love my job!
When are you not blogging, what do you like to do for fun?
I am seriously having a LOVE AFFAIR with Colorado. Ever since my first family ski trip when I was 12 years old, I have only wanted to live in Colorado. I finally got to call Colorado my home in 1997. With that said, I am a big fan of everything this state has to offer. Skiing and hiking are my faces. I would call myself “girly girl with tomboy hobbies”. I love fashion! And there is no better place to shop than Cherry Creek and Aspen.
