This extremely fun, happy couple was a pleasure to work with. Their laughter and smiles yielded some amazing shots. We created really fun shots, including my personal favorite of them running through the open grass hand-in-hand under the evening sun light. We had gorgeous Colorado blues skies at two wonderful Denver area locations. Their ceremony was held at the unique Our Lady of Loretto Chapel and the reception was held at the beautiful Denver wedding reception venue Hudson Gardens under the Garden Canopy. The wedding was captured in full HD on a Sony HDR-FX1 and a Canon 7D. Canon lenses used were: 10-22MM, 28MM, 50MM, and 100MM Macro.
We really enjoyed filming in the wedding chapel and its rooms and hallways. The natural light through the stain glass windows yielded some interesting shots. In particular, Emily and her bridesmaids readied themselves in a room off the south halls of the chapel. Their room was well lit by ambient natural light through the large windows and high ceilings. I loved the footage captured during her getting ready time. Once everyone was dressed and ready, we walked around the grounds capturing several shots leveraging the interesting architecture and well kept foliage as backgrounds.
This was our second shoot at Hudson Gardens, with the first being at Monet’s Place last August. When we first arrived, I captured a couple actions shots of the wedding party in front of the Inn, and then headed over to the Garden Canopy to capture some of the details before the reception began. Their Denver wedding reception was a hit, with delicious food by Occasions by Sandy, great music and hosting from DJ Jeramey by A Music Plus. A big thank you to DJ Jeremy, the dancing was “off the hook” until the last dance. Occasions by Sandy and A Music Plus are both members of StudioWed Denver.
