Monica and Brett exchanged their wedding vows and danced the night away at Denver’s historic Grant-Humphreys Mansion on a rainy May day. Such a fun couple, so sweet, and so great! A big thank you to Stephanie from Bella Notte coordinating the events of the wedding day.
They began their shoot at Berencies salon where Monica and her bridesmaids had their hair and make-up done. Brett and his groomsmen were hanging at the Burnsley hotel near Grant-HumpherysMansion. They were in a spacious suite on the 12th floor overlooking downtown Denver. Awesome views up there! After Monica’s hair appointment, she arrived at the mansion to finish getting ready. With the help of her bridesmaids she put on her dress in one of the large beautiful rooms upstairs at the mansion.
Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with the weather during the ceremony. On the positive side, no wind and no down pour, just gentle and consistent rain. From a video standpoint, it was interesting to see the all the guest under a sea of umbrellas and the gentle sound of the rain added a sound of calmness to the ceremony.
After dinner, while everyone was setting up shots of the cake down stairs somebody tripped off the fire alarm. Everyone had to wait outside until the fire department arrived to check the premises and shut the fire alarm off. Well, a couple of the bridesmaids decided to make the best of the situation and ask the firemen if they could mock rescue them from the building. Of course the cameras were left rolling to capture the priceless moment.
