Every year the StudioWed Asheville vendors get together to throw an amazing party for the wedding industry.  This year The Grand Bohemian was hosting, which meant that we had to come up with an amazing theme to fit the glamorous atmosphere.  What was the chosen theme? Masquerade! With Grand Bohemian stunning ballroom and gorgeous outdoor space it was the perfect theme and resulted in being amazing! The Wedding Unveiled team showed up and have recently published the party on their blog.  That being said check out the pictures below to see what we are talking about!

Every year the StudioWed Asheville group gets together for Friendsgiving.  Last year it was hosted at Homewood and was a classy family style affair.  This year was completely different! Off The Wagon Dueling Piano Bar hosted us and Colorful Palate created an amazing spread of food.  It was like Chipotle Thanksgiving style (but way yummier).  You grabbed a bowl and got to pick your choice of starch, meat, veggies, sauce, and so many condiments.  We then grabbed a seat and got to enjoy the dueling piano show.  It was a blast and we could not thank Off The Wagon for hosting us enough.  Who knows what fun stuff we will come up with for next year.  Stay tuned!

Looking for a hotel to have your room blocks at in Asheville NC?  We recommend looking at having your room blocks either at the Aloft Hotels or Biltmore Farms Hotels.  Here are 8 reasons why it is always a good idea to have a room block for your wedding guest!

1. Your guest get a room block discount.
2. Asheville hotels book up fast! This way you will be sure your guest will have a place to stay.
3. The Aloft is in the heart of downtown Asheville.
4. Biltmore Farms has a range of prices and locations around Asheville for your guest to stay at.
5. It makes delivering welcome bags way easier… Everyone is in one location!
6. You can set up transportation to pick your guest up at one of these locations… Makes things easier!
7. Your guest are all in one locations.  It will save the issue of friends trying to figure out who is staying where.
8. The after party can take place at one of the hotel bars!
9. The brunch can also take place at one of the hotels.. Noting like rolling out of bed and going to brunch in the same location!

Tip :: Place a transportation itinerary in a frame on the concierge desk.  The concierge will not only really appreciate it, but it will save your guest from being lost or confused!

Whenever us wedding vendors see that Colorful Palate is the caterer hired for the wedding we are working at we get pretty excited around here.  Yes we do get a vendor meal that is delicious, but we also know that the wedding guest are going to be filled with happy bellies! They can not only cook pretty much anything, and set up the food stations to look beautiful , but they are also the best to work with.  We love the team at Colorful Palate, and have loved that they have been apart of StudioWed Asheville for so long now!

Tip :: Your vendors are going to need to eat while working all night at your wedding.  Which means you will need to provide them with a vendor meal.  Make sure to ask a head of time if your vendors have any allergies and how many meals they will need (especially when it comes to the band).  Trust us, you want your vendors to be happy while working your wedding.  No hangry vendors please!
