Weddings can run late. No matter what you do, you can always be just a few minutes behind. While you’re still getting ready your guests are sitting in their chairs patiently memorizing your program. Create a program that incorporates games about the bride and groom like crossword puzzles, word searches, or mad libs to name a few. Not only will your guests be entertained but they might also learn something new about the couple. At my own wedding, we placed a crossword puzzle in our program and our guests raved about it! For those hot summer weddings, provide your guests with a fan, complete with a pencil. You can also set one at each place setting for guests to peruse while the reception gets started. There are tons of online programs to make crossword and word searches, here is one of them.

Get inspired!  ~ Brittany

Many, many thanks to all the lovely folks over at The Doubletree for hosting our recent vendor gathering!  They sponsored our morning StudioWed Think Tank…fantastic people and fantastic food!  We are talking fresh fruit, homemade breakfast quesadillas, and my favorite – homemade granola bars on a glass of milk…too cute!  I love unique food presentations!

The Doubletree has several options for event spaces ~ including a new ballroom, and a lovely outdoor garden that would be perfect for a rehearsal dinner or brunch!  {or for a ceremony if you have a small guest count}.  They also offer room blocks for all of your guests, no matter where the wedding is!  They are conveniently right beside the entrance of the Biltmore Estate, and just a few miles from downtown Asheville.   Be sure to check them out!  Great service and a great space!
