Just to warm you up on this cold February day…feel the sun from these images from Mozingo Photography!

We at Mozingo Photography love destination weddings!  Many people travel to the Asheville area to have their destination weddings here in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Although we love where we live to be sure, every once in a while it is nice to get to escape to capture a tropical wedding.

So we had the amazing opportunity to escape the cold and snow of an Asheville January to travel to Los Barriles, Mexico! Steelie Pope and Sam Runion had a beautiful beach wedding at Hotel Palmas De Cortez.  What a blessing to get to share in their amazing wedding in such a beautiful place!

The couple are high school sweet hearts and their love for each other is very unique and it shows! We loved how laid back Steelie and Sam were and how they just welcomed us in to their group of friends and family.  We have some amazing memories, and tons of photographs! Here are just a few of our favorites.

I love the bright, vibrant colors of robin’s egg blue and daffodil yellow for Parrish and Jonathan’s wedding ceremony and reception at Laurel Ridge Country Club.  Blossoms at Biltmore Park designed such an incredible landscape of candlelight and flowers.  Their designs remind me of spring!  Event planning by the ladies at Asheville Event Co.

In going through some previous wedding pictures, here is a little dose of a fun wedding captured beautifully by Dana at Orange Cat Photo that Verge Events planned out at Lake Eden.   The talented Alan at Blossoms at Biltmore Park did a great job bringing together the theme, building the gorgeous trees that went up the poles in the tent..and of course the flowers!  The bride and groom met kayaking and loved being on the river, so naturally river rocks were incorporated throughout the wedding from the place cards to some of the centerpieces.  The lovely ladies over at Colorful Palate prepared all the wonderful food, included a yummy dessert bar.   Enjoy!

This wedding took place awhile back out at Claxton Farm ~ and the color of the day was pink and green!  I absolutely love the place cards hung by the clothes pins hung on the old farm barn!  And I think the customized water bottle is so sweet..especially for a wedding in August!  Always keep in mind your guest experience, and know that the little touches make the difference!
