What is more touching than the bride and groom’s first dance? It is such a sweet moment to see the new couple dancing cheek to cheek. We still get teary-eyed seeing our couples dancing their first dance! We have seen a slew of songs used, from oldies but goodies to the latest and greatest. Sometimes this can be a difficult process for the couple to actually choose what they are going to dance to. Our advice, choose a song that means something to you, not to anyone else. It should be your song! Aspen Wedding Guide has a really great top 10 1st dance songs to help you if you need a little inspiration.

Now we know not everyone is into the traditional sappy first dance and we know there have been a ton of choreographed first dances but let’s face it, guests love it! A choreographed 1st dance always gets the crowd going and makes for quite the memorable moment. We have been loving this Dirty Dancing recreation! I keep imagining how cool this would be at Lake Lure (one of the filming locations for the Dirty Dancing movie). Check out this footwork!

2014’s color of the year was just announced by Pantone to be Radiant Orchid, a rich blend of purple, pink and fushia.

Wreaths are such a simple piece of decor. They have their own simplistic beauty that transcends time, place and theme. They can literally be used anywhere on almost anything and can be made of just about any item you can think of. The versatility of wreaths make them a no brainer  for decor for any occasion. Baby, it’s cold outside and we are warming up with hot cocoa! Why not warm your guests up at your winter wedding with a hot chocolate bar?

Fun add-ins like chocolate dipped candy canes, flavored marshmallows, whipped cream in cute shapes and specialty syrups make your guests feel like getting in the spirit.

And don’t forget for guests 21 and over to add a yummy shot of Bailey’s or Kahlua  to bring your hot chocolate to the next level.

You can even send them home with a hot cocoa favor to enjoy later. Now off to make some hot chocolate for ourselves!
