The Inspired Bride – Event Recap

To work in the wedding business, you have to seriously love all things weddings: stationery, flowers, dresses, food, table linens, photography, decor…everything! So to be at the Inspired Bride event on September 12 was like being a kid in a candy store for me.

Everywhere you looked there were flowers, food, dresses, and stationery, and don’t even get me started on the inspiration overload that was the design gallery! It was so over-the-top that it will get its own special post. If you weren’t able to make it to the event, here are my favorite pictures from our 2nd Annual Inspired Bride event. You can still get in on the innovative inspirations!

The Floral Market

Our three florists, Aesthetic Floral and Event Artistry, Le Jardin Francais, and The Savage Garden, put together their favorite blooms to help guests pinpoint their floral style.

The Fashion Shows

Everyone knows that a bride’s favorite planning pastime is picking out her dress. Our fashion show featured day and night looks for both the bride and her attendants. A big thanks to Etain Bridal Boutique for helping us select gowns for our brides’ viewing pleasure.

The Food

Endive brought plenty of their signature dishes with them, including strawberry salad with poppy seed vinaigrette and crispy tacos. But they also brought along a shrimp and grits bar this time–so good! Round that out with a s’mores station from Peachy Treats, a gelato cart from Dreamy Gelato, pastries from Tasty Pastry, and cupcakes from Sweet Sensations, and this party was definitely not lacking in the food department!

The Inspiration and The Fun

Brides were able to browse our design studio, mingle with vendors and other brides, enjoy live entertainment from Livin’ Large and Lethal Rhythms, and win giveaways from our awesome event sponsors. Is it too early to start getting excited about next year’s Inspired Bride?

Our vendors work so incredibly hard preparing for and working at these events, and I am so thankful for everything they do. A big thank you to our brides, too! We love being inspired by you and hope you got a bit of inspiration from this event, too!

Thank you thank you thank you to Andrea Taylor Studio and Rae Leytham Photography for the photos!

Honeymoon Friday: Exuma, Bahamas

Summer may be officially over, but the feeling of fall hasn’t arrived yet here in Atlanta. And after looking at the absolute gorgeous Sandals Emerald Bay in Exuma, Bahamas, on the suggestion of LT Travel Connection, I can’t stop imagining myself in the ocean or in the pool.

And that dream can be closer to reality with the fabulous deal they have running for just six more days! You can save up to 65% off when you book at Sandals Emerald Bay, and the deal also includes your companion flying free and butler service. In every room! Can you believe that?

With several different restaurants, golf, activities, a spa, and local tours, Emerald Bay is the perfect place for a half relaxed, half adventurer honeymoon. Make sure to contact LT Travel Connection before this deal — up to 65% — runs out!

Real Engagement Session: Kara + Trey

As soon as I saw these engagement session photos taken at the Gwinnett County Fair by Jamie Howell Photography, I knew I had to post them on the blog. One of my earliest memories is of going to the county fair every fall, and my boyfriend and I had our first “I love you” exchange after our first trip to the fair together almost a year ago. Needless to say, when I saw Kara + Trey’s engagement photos from the fair, I fell in love all over again! The colors, the fun, the excitement…I couldn’t wait to share them with you!

I love it when couples think of creative engagement sessions and really make it their own. Head over to Jamie’s blog to see the rest of these very cool photos!
