I love Anne Barge. It’s that simple. Despite her success, she’s stayed in Atlanta and continued to produce timeless, classic gowns with her signature touches of hand-beading and embroidery. Southern Weddings Magazine was at Anne’s Bridal Market show this week, and I loved this short dress with incredible detailing at the hem they posted. It’s perfect for the bride who wants to change into a dancing dress for the reception!

Last week, you got a sneak peek of what one of our vendors has planned for the November 4 wedding of Atlanta’s first ever Wish Upon a Wedding couple, but you haven’t gotten to meet the actual couple yet! Well, the wait is over, and I’m happy to introduce you to StudioWed’s newest clients: Deven + Cliff.

The couple met in 2007 when Cliff spotted Deven working at his bank. They began talking, using Cliff’s daughter, Jasmine, as the conversation starter. The two realized they had a lot in common, exchanged numbers, and the rest is history.

They have persevered through Cliff’s renal failure and three-times-per-week dialysis sessions at Emory University Hospital. “Deven is my knight in shining armor. She is the woman who has stuck by my side through it all,” Cliff said of his fiance.

This couple is so much fun. When I met Deven for the first time, I could see right away that she has one of the bubbliest personalities ever. And Cliff was a typical groom, asking how long her makeup trial was going to take! But he also has a softer side and said that he “wants to live a healthy, normal life and give my soon-to-be wife and daughter what they deserve.”

Don’t you just love Deven’s smile? We can’t wait for their wedding day! I just discovered Thread, one of the coolest bridesmaid dress designers I’ve come across lately (just check out their swiss dot collection, swoon!). They’ve been around since 1999 AND they’re fabulous, so I’m not sure how I haven’t heard of them! But I am in love with their chic frocks and design aesthetic that was born out of a need for a bridesmaid dress for a sister’s wedding. A dress with a print is a huge trend for Spring, and any bridesmaid would look to die for in the Izzy floor length dress.

I love its high waist, color combination (its available in several more), its neckline, and the fact that it can easily be worn again after the wedding. It’s perfection!
