We’re ecstatic to announce that Janel Elise Events has joined the StudioWed family! To welcome her, today we are delighted to share a simple yet elegant wedding she planned for Mishon & Brandon. Janel Elise Events– “Joyful. Colorful. Chic.” –and her weddings and events fall nothing short of that! This wedding features shades of red and purple that fit perfect for the couple’s right-away-wedding at the groom’s private residence!

Keep the Bride Pretty 

Scoobie West & Company, Hair and Makeup Stylists, recommends hair all up for your summer wedding! The higher the better, he shares, due to the heat the bride is going to sweat so you want to avoid hair sticking to the forehead while keeping volume and movement. Also, don’t forget to have your bridesmaids keep a stash of facial blotting papers and powder for makeup touch-ups in between photos, before you walk down the aisle, and during the reception!

“Shannon is gorgeous anyway, but we always love it when brides choose dresses that are the perfect compliment – Shannon’s dress was stunning! While I was photographing the ladies getting ready, Michelle was photographing the guys watching the Masters and hanging out together. Mike and Shannon chose to have a first look before the wedding ceremony, so Shannon waited at the end of the aisle as Mike came outside to join her. We always love capturing the joy, love, excitement, and sheer amazement that appear on a groom’s face as he sees his bride in all her glory. After having a few moments together, we walked around the garden to create some really beautiful artwork with just the two of them before inviting family outside to join us for some family photos.” -SS
