In mid-December, we got to see a couple of the official royal engagement photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton. And yes, I am one of those people who developed a major girl-crush on Kate during that first official interview post-engagement! I couldn’t help it; I grew up idolizing Princess Diana (I have the Beanie Baby and tear-stained memories of the funeral to prove it), and I think Kate will make an amazing princess.

That said, what do you think of these photos by famed fashion and celebrity photographer Mario Testino? Kate is being applauded for wearing the ivory knee-length “Nanette” dress from accessible UK retailer, Reiss, while Prince William’s casual sweater was actually loaned to him by Testino himself.

I know my opinion is clouded by my approval of this engagement, so tell me–what do you think?

I love when Vera Wang plays around with color, and this grey Spring 2011 wedding dress — the “Felicity” — also features gorgeous floating rosettes on the bodice and a softly tucked skirt.

Carmela Sutera has a line of wedding dresses that mixes romantic silhouettes and lush fabrics with edgy details and interesting cuts. I love the lace bodice on this one and how the lace peeks up on the neckline.
