Today my family is celebrating “Christmas Eve-Eve” as my nephew likes to call it. We do all of our baking and prep for the big holiday meals today, and that is why our Daily Dress post is a few hours late today! I think this dress, a duchess satin column gown with asymmetrical draping and taffeta underskirt (by the mega talented Ulla-Maija Couture), is worth the wait. I absolutely love the sparkly rose accent on the bodice.

I love it when designers actually create cocktail dresses that work with a woman’s body. This plus size Calvin Klein monochromatic belted dress make this a perfect plus size look. The pleated jewel neckline, the cinched belted waist, the way it hits perfectly at the knee, and the allover print all work well together. I’m ordering this one ASAP!

It’s no secret that I love J. Crew, and this especially rings true for their wedding selections. They’re so classically beautiful, and that’s why I love this silk tricotine “Anouk” gown. The scoop neck, the empire waist, the deep-v back, the a-line skirt…all of these details come together to make this a definitive J. Crew gown.
How have I never heard of the online store Poetrie before? I just found the site while Googling for my sister’s Christmas gift (yes, I’m running late!). They have totally gorgeous dresses and accessories with a vintage inspired slant, and lucky for us, they have a sale on some awesome holiday dresses right now! Here’s my favorite: the Manhattan Moon dress. It’s super sparkly with silver sequins all over, and there are three sheer black bows that tie the back together. It’s such a surprise and gives an otherwise ordinary sequin dress a nice touch.
