StudioWed Atlanta Presents this week's vendor spotlight: Event Drapery, Inc!

Hello Readers!

I am excited to share two things this morning. One – a shout out to one of our favorite wedding vendors in the city – Event Drapery!!! And two – a showcase of the talent that exists on the StudioWed team here in Atlanta. Thanks Maggie, for guest blogging!

Nothing has the ability to set the mood for an event quite like that of a beautiful surrounding environment.  Luckily, that’s exactly what Event Drapery is known for!  With their extensive drapery selection, high quality product and impeccable customer service (these guys are actually really fun to hang out with!), we are constantly impressed by their work. And, of course, we’re proud to  have such an innovative vendor as part of our StudioWed team.

In fact, this season they’ve introduced a brand-new inventory of Black and White Stripe Satin.  Timeless, elegant and swinging towards preppy or formal, you can’t go wrong with this classic pattern. Event Drapery does a phenomenal job conveying the colors in a new and modern way.

You can check out more fun from the event at their website Event Drapery, Inc but here’s a sneak peek below!

Claire + Antonio – An Atlantan Bride and Groom

You guys know we’re huge fans of The Atlantan Brides, but here’s another reason why we’re proud to keep it on our shelves: StudioWed couple, Claire Kendall and Antonio Bush tied the knot on May 5th, 2012 and it’s gracing the pages of this season’s issue!

So many weddings!  Oh my goodness.  At Puritan Mill, Arielle Garber and Rafi Kohan celebrated their new life together!  The bride looked stunning in a Melissa Sweet gown.  Location and dress… 2 very important details to the wedding!

Last but not least… the wedding of Alana Vivolo and Jonathan Kantor!  These college sweathearts selected the W Hotel Midtown for a contemporary venue to match their shared modern aesthetic.  Planner and event designer Brian Green of F & G Weddings dressed the W in bold blues and greens with the help of custom creations from I Do Linens and Maxine Mecca of Edge Design Group.  Check out the bold bouquets from Edge Design Group, custom invitations by Papered Wonders and a bejeweled arrangement by Maxine Mecca.  Spectacular!

StudioWed Atlanta presents Foglio Press!

I’m excited to spread the word about one of our stationery vendors, Foglio Press. After years of working in the wedding paper business as a go-to consultant on custom invitations, Sarah Sorrentino went on to start Foglio Press.

If you have questions about design, etiquette and postage, Sarah is ready to tackle all your wedding stationery questions! I talked to her about some of the most popular paper creations, such as metallic with foil stamped printing or ribbon. Either way, shimmer and shine is big right now! Also, the inclusion of color in wedding stationery like soft, sherbet shades of blushes and mints; or more saturated pops of bright pinks, greens and jewel tones. Sarah’s advice is to “balance the color with soft neutrals for a sophisticated and modern feel.”

Foglio Press also offers letter press, soy based inks, digital printing, bamboo papers, or even papers with seeds inside that guests can add to their gardens after the wedding. How cool is that? Our brides love her and so do we!
