Learn a New Language – The Language of Weddings

It’s no secret that when it comes to planning the big day, there’s a lot going on. There are a lot of words thrown around by vendors that on the outside we may nod and smile to  with glazed-over eyes, but on the inside, we’re saying, “ummm, what?”

Well, thanks to wedding expert Annie Lee of Daughter of Design®, there’s help for the former (minus the glazed eyes). She’s created sets of 50 cards that teach common wedding-related terminology, abbreviations and other wedding vocabulary to help familiarize novices with wedding culture and have you sounding like a natural in no time.

Plus, the set comes adorably boxed in white and gold, making it the perfect way to say congrats before the planning begins!

Want to get your hands on a set of these? Check this out – Every bride who is registered for The Inspired Bride gets the chance to enter to win the gift card set. We’ve got TWO to give away to a lucky lady, so head on over to www.studiowedinspired.eventbrite.com and get signed up today!

Toss Your Salad in Style

Okay, brides – let’s get real. If you’re anything like me, registering for your new kitchen is one of the best parts of being engaged. And, if you haven’t done it yet, I am so jealous.

So, here’s something you can’t register for just anywhere… and that you can get for free at StudioWed’s Inspired Bride event. The Core Bamboo line of eco-friendly serving utensils (among other things) provide a safe way to cook and look good doing it, without harming the environment.

Core produces the world’s finest Bamboo products including bowls, cutting boards, serving trays and utensils. All of the bamboo is 100% organically grown and uses food-safe water-based adhesives. Every product is finished with top grade natural oils–even the lacquer comes from natural cashew trees.

Plus, (useful fact for the day!) bamboo is one of the most remarkable resources on Earth. As a member of the grass family, not a tree, it grows at a much quicker rate than any other wood. From start to harvest (60-70 feet tall) it can take just four years. And, contrary to what you might think, bamboo is the perfect material for food prep. It’s stronger than Maple and lighter than Oak making it substantial, yet light-weight that won’t dull your new knives.

Make sure you’re signed up for the event before September 8th for your shot to snag one of these cool items for your celebrity-style swag bag! Register at www.studiowedinspired.eventbrite.com.

Flats get a Face-Lift

It’s no secret your feet hurt. In fact, wherever you’re reading this, right now, I am willing to bet your feet are aching in your heels, or you’re giving them some much-needed TLC because you just flung them off as soon as you walked in the door at home. Either way, flats are your freedom, no matter when or why you wear them.

It’s a girl thing.

But, here’s another liberating fact. Tieks by Gavrieli designs really, really fashionable flats that you’ll not only want to wear, but you’ll want to wear out in public, with shorts. That means, they’re cute and comfortable enough to also sport under your wedding gown, whether to soft-foot down the aisle or get serious for the dance floor. Or, maybe you need something small and packable to get you through the honeymoon with nothing more than a carry-on. We wouldn’t judge.

Either way, these flats are fab, and they’re worth every single penny. Check out the full line of inventory here and see them up close and personal at this year’s Inspired Bride event on Sunday, September 8th at W Hotel Midtown. Sign up now at www.studiowedinspired.eventbrite.com

Happy walking!

ASHLEY + JAMES – A Real StudioWed Wedding!

Congratulations to newlyweds Ashley and James! A couple who truly have a fated love story – meeting for the first time a year prior to forming the friendship that blossomed into a relationship.  A couple whose love was sealed with heartfelt vows on May 17, 2013.

The team of StudioWed vendors that worked together to create ‘the perfect day’ for Ashley and James certainly created a picturesque wedding for the beautiful couple! With Michelle Gainey of Lemiga Events taking the reins as the planner, every detail was on point and customized to the bride and groom’s wants.  Michelle negotiated every contract, coordinated every meeting, and seamlessly pieced every aspect together on the big day, so that the couple could soak in every gorgeous detail!

With the amazing duo at Project Duo Photography capturing every special moment, Ashley and James tied the knot and celebrated their new found happiness with friends and family late into the night at The Biltmore Ballrooms, Atlanta.

All in attendance were looking dapper, especially the groom, in his custom made tuxedo from The Modern Gent!

But, none was as stunning as the bride, as she looked like a princess(straight out of a fairy tale!) and lit up the room on her wedding day!

The reception was almost as radiant as the bride due to the great work of Unique Event Elements.  They created a reception space that glowed almost as beautifully as the bride and groom!

And to top off the celebration was a sweet surprise from Perfect Wedding Cake – a stunning modern, sparkling, peach wedding cake!

Ashley and James have said that they are so thankful for all of the vendors that helped to achieve their vision for their wedding! As Ashley and James experienced, and as you can see in these photos, all of the vendors use their own special skills to make a couple’s wedding dream come alive!
