Okay – it’s time to get X-Rated…

But before you close out this blog for fear of what you’re going to see once you scroll down, rest easy, I’m talking about X-Rated Vodka. Lyght House Cocktails mixes up a pretty fancy refreshment with this sweet spirit.

And it’s an easy one to make – Just pour about 2 ounces of X-Rated liqueur into a sparkly champagne glass and top with 4 ounces of  your favorite brut bubbles. Pop a cherry in and raise your pinkies – Enjoy!

Have you ever watched the hostess of a party and wondered just how she pulled it all off with such effortless perfection? The lucky ladies of MJCCA recently spent a Girls’ Night In here at the studio with several of our very own StudioWed vendors. These vendors gave their expert tips in the basics of being the perfect hostess. From the tablescape (F&G Weddings) to homemade stationary (Papered Wonders), these ladies learned it all.

Lyght House Cocktails and Added Touch Catering shared tips on the perfect drink and appetizer combinations while others stepped into the photobooth (Shutterbooth) to capture the fun on film.

For the final touches P3 Lab provided make up tips, and Scoobie West took hair from day to night without hot tools. These perfectly polished ladies are now prepared to be the hostess with mostess!

I swear to you that a day does not pass where I am not floored, awed or inspired by one (or, in this case several) of our StudioWed vendors. From the level of creativity they possess to the capacity for ingenuity that they constantly display, it’s never short of amazing and I feel lucky enough to have experienced just the teensiest part of it for my own wedding.
