StudioWed shows off Summer Inspiration

Okay, so bottom line is that it is finally hot. And of course, good ole Atlanta weather doesn’t gently welcome us into spring – it straight up makes us sweat or shiver, one day to the next.

But one good (GREAT) thing about the new, hot season? Seeing the new, hot trend take over our StudioWed window display.

Why this important to you, the brides? It’s a perfect place to start gathering inspiration for your own celebration that’s months away, or already planned for next year (congrats to those of you just engaged!).

The ladies withIt Takes Two Events (our cute, pocket-sized planning sisters) spearheaded a fresh take on bright colors and bold patterns perfect for either an indoor or outdoor fete. Event Drapery framed the shot in creamy Ivory Satin drape, while We Rent Atlanta delivered crisp, Crystal Flex Chairs to baseline the minimal, modern design.

Blossoms Atlanta crafted pops of floral accents, complete with beloved moss and crystal mosh-ups. Hi Note impressed again with wooden cut-out menu cards and fun escort cards, plus the stationery suite is something that stops everyone at the door.

Sugar Style Events dotted the tablescape with colored sticks of Rock Candy (throw back!) and white chocolate lollipops, polishing off the clean look of Nuage Designs linens with something mouth-watering.

One thing I absolutely HAVE to brag on is the artistic flair of Charlotte Ryerse – one of the associates at It Takes Two Events. This chick whips out markers and sketches out things that dreams are made of – In fact, they are so cool looking (and she is just SO talented) that the team ended up included her sketches in the overall display. Swing by and see what it’s all about.

Just in time for summer this new sweetheart table, Destination Chic, would be perfect for any destination wedding! La Fete out did themselves with this beach inspired tablescape. It is a combination of the natural look of the seashore and trendy corals and turquoise. The table is accented with a few simple shells and starfish to compliment the wooden chairs, candles and tableware. This look will fit right in with the sparkling white sand!

The stationary is provided by Papered Wonders. Inc., rentals by We Rent Atlanta and linens by Connie Duglin Specialty Linen.

Tassels and lanterns and candles, oh my! A Big To Do Event went above and beyond designing this Moroccan-inspired sweetheart table. If you are looking for something beautiful and unique than this is the table for you. The bold jewel tones and flower buds add a touch of romance to this candlelight dinner.

The gold chairs are provided by We Rent Atlanta and stunning linens by Connie Duglin Specialty Linen.

It feels like summer in this southern garden. The Funky Shack Art Studio takes all the credit for this picturesque tablescape. Any bride would be in bliss surrounded by these seasonal Lenten Roses and antique lace and burlap linens.  With rustic silverware, white teacup candles, and old country novels, this scene brings you back home.

I am so proud of this team of vendors – for creativity, for fresh ideas and for pulling off a design scheme just DAYS before one of it’s leaders tied her own knot.

Special thanks to Gregg Willett Photography for capturing these beautiful scenes.

Make sure to stop in and browse the bauble – And book them while they’re hot :)

Planning Perfection – A Look Inside Lemiga Events

So, if you’re a dedicated reader or longtime fan, you know that last year I got married. In fact, it’s been right around an entire year  (um, can you believe that!?). I absolutely loved gearing up for my wedding. I loved brainstorming every details, picking out the perfect part of each inspirational spread that would best reflect me and my honey’s love story.

In fact, looking back, we constantly (still) say how perfect our big day was. From the special touches in the ceremony to the fabulous decor inside one of Atlanta’s own art museums, everything had a special touch, felt one of a kind and impressed friends and family to the moon and back. (Our goals=met).

But let me say this, although the day went off without a hitch, I barely had more than a moment or two of stress. Michelle and the Lemiga Events team took care of everything. They negotiated contracts, coordinated load-ins, delivered inspiration and ideas never seen before and made it all happen on time, on schedule and flawlessly. (At least, as far as I know!)

Michelle, specifically, took the stress out of the day, entirely. She made calls, had back-up plans and looked fabulous doing so. Need more insight? Guys – I cried when I saw the reception room for the first time. CRIED! It was perfect. Better than I could have imagined.

Professionally, Lemiga will tell you that they “are passionate about creating unique and exceptional moments that will be remembered for a lifetime.” That, “it’s their love for design and intricate detail that defines their signature event style.”  There has rarely been a more accurate handle on a reputation.

As if the images don’t say enough, check out their new video biography!  It reflects the heart of the company, what inspires them and how you can get to know them better.  The video is by Apres un Reve. CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO!!!

So many weddings!  Oh my goodness.  At Puritan Mill, Arielle Garber and Rafi Kohan celebrated their new life together!  The bride looked stunning in a Melissa Sweet gown.  Location and dress… 2 very important details to the wedding!

Last but not least… the wedding of Alana Vivolo and Jonathan Kantor!  These college sweathearts selected the W Hotel Midtown for a contemporary venue to match their shared modern aesthetic.  Planner and event designer Brian Green of F & G Weddings dressed the W in bold blues and greens with the help of custom creations from I Do Linens and Maxine Mecca of Edge Design Group.  Check out the bold bouquets from Edge Design Group, custom invitations by Papered Wonders and a bejeweled arrangement by Maxine Mecca.  Spectacular!
