A Story: Trisha + Jim

Stories about engagements and weddings are usually sweet with no sorrow, but today’s wedding story doesn’t fit the usual mold. Trisha + Jim’s wedding took place in May and began as any wedding day does. However, before the ceremony, Trisha started to feel sick. She made it through the ceremony, but she had to be taken to the hospital soon after.

The day after the wedding, Trisha found out that she had a small tumor on her brain. She had surgery and the outlook was good. Unfortunately, though, Trisha still has not recovered, and the prognosis is not as optimistic as it once was.

Jim and Trisha’s family and friends have joined with the Southeastern Brain Tumor Race for Research and could use your support. Their goal is to raise money and awareness for brain tumor patients and their families. You can visit the Team Trisha page to learn more and to donate.

I cannot imagine discovering this life-changing news the day after your wedding. Our hearts go out to Trisha and Jim and their families. Please pass this story along to any others who can help. Thanks to Jamie Howell for filling me on this story. My heart just breaks for them. Here are their engagement photos from Jamie.

Please visit the Team Trisha page to support this couple and their mission to bring awareness to brain tumors.

Real Rosemary Beach Wedding: Giana + Eric

Aren’t our photographers in one of the best professions on the planet? I would love to jet off to the beach to work for a day or two, and we have yet another photographer who recently had the privilege.  Project Duo Photography had the opportunity to shoot a summer destination wedding, this time in Rosemary Beach, FL. Giana + Eric were married on the Eastern Green, and the photos are here to show all of the gorgeous details!

I think we can all agree on one thing: Giana made a beautiful bride.

Babies and puppies are always the absolute cutest!

Love the look Eric had when he first saw Giana.

Such a chic lounge area; I love their coastal accessories.

And with these next few photos, you will see just how much fun Giana + Eric’s reception really was. I need more friends like these in my life!

I hope that Project Duo had as much fun shooting this wedding as the guests had dancing at it! Thanks, ladies, for sharing these photos with us! Can’t wait to see the next one.

Honeymoon Friday: St. Thomas

The ladies of LT Travel Connection have once again outdone themselves by digging up this week’s fabulous Honeymoon Friday Travel Deal. But then again, when have they not served up the best deals to the most beautiful locations? Guess I’ll just have to get used to it!

The Ritz-Carlton in gorgeous St. Thomas is offering five nights for the price of four. That’s five nights including round trip hotel transfers, accommodations, and all tax and hotel charges for just $825. And take a look of everything you get to see for those five days:

A seaside spa treatment? Yes, please!

In keeping with this post’s Caribbean theme, here’s a list of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the area. Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St. Barts, St. Lucia, St. Martin, and US Virgin Islands (home to the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas) are all popular honeymoon spots. Another great option for couples on a tight schedule and budget is Caribbean cruises. You can find 4-day cruises at many cruise lines for as low as $199 a night.

Just talking about these locations makes me need a vacation! Good thing I can count on LT Travel Connection to keep me in the know of all of these good destinations!
