Inspiration: Shabby Chic

My very best friend is getting married next June! Laken is one of the most poised, elegant, and stylish people I know, so today’s inspiration pays homage to her affection for all things simply shabby chic. Her style is laid-back but polished; for example, she decorates her room with floral hankies and antique postcards and the fabulous teacups she inherited from her grandmother’s collection. Her June wedding will be held at Spring Haven Mansion, which is practically the Father of the Bride house (amazing), and her colors are aqua and green with pale pink flourishes.

With no further ado…

From top left, clockwise:  paperdolls, mason jar suite, florals in jars, B&W shot, green-hued ties, jewels, SP bowtie, Spring Haven, pink lemonade, peonies, stripy straw, bouquet, cake, shabby chic party.

Inspiringly,

~ Kelly

This is definitely one of the most popular Monique Lhuillier gowns, but boy, is it gorgeous!! Love love love. Thanks to The Bride Room for supplying Nashville with such beauties! {And happy Trunk Show season!}

These items The goal of the corporation is to promote feelings of hope and comfort in children as they lay their heads to rest each night.

Why attend and donate?: In a lot of families, bedtime is a ritual. It’s a time to laugh, relax, and snuggle. Ironically, Jill’s idea for “Sleep Tight Kids” came to her in a dream. We want to help needy children in our community to be comforted and to feel some sense of caring as they go to sleep each night.

Who started the foundation?: North Carolina photographer, Jill Schwarzkopf, started the foundation after she saw a need in her community. You can visit her photography website @ http://www.realitiesphotography.com/.
