A Delightful Day featured in Nashville Lifestyles!

We could not be happier for A Delightful Day Event Planning! They have been featured in Nashville Lifestyles for another one of their fabulous weddings! There are four StudioWed Vendors who worked this wedding, which makes it even more dear to our hearts. :) A Delightful Day was the wedding coordinator, Justin Wright was the photographer, Brocade Designs, delivered flowers and executed the design layout, and Nashville Sweets provided a ‘sweet’ dessert bar that was irresistible…even to me! We encourage you to read below and re-live this magical day with us!

Lauren and Jeremy were friends long before they started dating. “Jeremy was slick! I had no clue that we actually went on ‘dates’ for several weeks,” Lauren laughs. “In the end, that was best, because he was truly my friend first.” The couple wanted a warm, regal, and elegant celebration, which they accomplished with a color scheme of eggplant, magenta, and gold. “Our vision for the wedding was an evening surrounded by the ones we loved and an experience that we felt represented who we were as individuals and a couple,” the bride explains.

A number of personal touches made the couple’s big day even more memorable: a charm of Lauren’s bouquet was inscribed with her late mother’s handwriting while Jeremy’s groom’s cake resembled an Xbox One (a tribute to his proposal). Plus, the newlyweds had a flipbook photo station to catch quirky, candid snapshots throughout the night. “Remember that the day is imporatant because it makrs a significant commitment in your life. Plan well and enjoy your day, but know that the best part starts after all the pomp and circumstance ends.”

Vendor Spotlight: Wolfe Gourmet Cakes

Vendor-Spotlight11

Looking for someone to give you the perfect cake for your wedding day? There are so many wonderful bakers in Nashville, that it’s hard to narrow it down to just one. If you’re looking for someone who can give you a large variety of rich and decadent flavors, a gorgeous presentation, and a little New Orleans spunk, Wolfe Gourmet Cakes might just be the right choice.

Meet Nicole Wolfe:

Nicole Wolfe was born and raised in the greater New Orleans area, growing up around some of the most delicious and diverse cuisine in the world. While attending college at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, her love of baking and cooking grew as she worked towards her degree in Hospitality Management. After graduating, she realized her passion was not in management, but in actual hands-on production and development of gourmet cuisine. The foundation was laid for her pastry career at Flour Power in Chalmette, LA under the tutelage of Doyle Deforrest. In 2004, she was accepted a career opportunity in Nashville, TN. Since then, Wolfe has worked as a pastry chef in several of Nashville’s most prestigious restaurants and catering venues including: Watermark, The Red Pony, The Bake Shoppe, and The Turnip Truck Gulch location.

Wolfe’s long-time goal has been to own her own cake and dessert business, and in 2011, she opened Wolfe Gourmet Cakes. She was  delighted to have the opportunity to team up with Chef Jason McConnell again, and kick start her business off at McConnell House. Wolfe Gourmet Cakes is now located in East Nashville at 1701 Fatherland St. inside The Post East.

Centennial Park surrounds it with its peaceful walking trails.

Limited to 6 couples, enjoy a multi-course meal with a special wine selection for each course! Perks include a wine tutorial and fine menu. Avoid the hussle and crowds and indulge in Chef Merijoy Rucker’s menu.
  9. If you want to have the best Valentine’s Day story ever, you’ll get married at the ridiculously beautiful Belmont Mansion.
