Introducing StudioWed Nashville’s Newest Vendor: Wolfe Gourmet Cakes!

This month we are so excited to welcome one of our newest members to the studio:
Nashville Wedding and Groom’s Cake Designers, Wolfe Gourmet Cakes! Learn more about them below and see why brides are raving about their experience with this Nashville wedding cake designer!

Nicole Wolfe was born and raised in the greater New Orleans area, growing up around some of the most delicious and diverse cuisine in the world. While attending college at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, her love of baking and cooking grew as she worked towards her degree in Hospitality Management. After graduating, she realized her passion was not in management, but in actual hands-on production and development of gourmet cuisine. The foundation was laid for her pastry career at Flour Power in Chalmette, LA under the tutelage of Doyle Deforrest. In 2004, she was accepted a career opportunity in Nashville, TN. Since then, Wolfe has worked as a pastry chef in several of Nashville’s most prestigious restaurants and catering venues including: Watermark, The Red Pony, The Bake Shoppe, and The Turnip Truck Gulch location.

Wolfe’s long-time goal has been to own her own cake and dessert business, and in 2011, she opened Wolfe Gourmet Cakes. She is delighted to have the opportunity to team up with Chef Jason McConnell again, as Wolfe Gourmet Cakes shares shop space in the McConnell House.

“Wolfe Cakes was so great to work with and produced the best cake I have ever had at a wedding. I had a general, basic idea of what I wanted our cake to look like and met with Nicole, she sketched it out immediately and nailed it. The cake was beautiful in person and exactly what I wanted. Nicole is extremely professional and takes pride in her work. We also had pies at our reception which were gorgeous and delicious!” -Claire

“All our guests absolutely LOVED the cake. Nicole is great to work. We would highly recommend her.” -Erin

“Nicole Wolfe was a great person to work with! Not only is she a great baker with great talent for decorating wedding cakes; she’s easy to work with and totally flexible too!

My main concern for the wedding cake was having one that tasted great. Being a bit of a foodie and amateur baker, I had high expectations for our wedding cake – both for decor and taste, and Nicole met and exceeded those expectations. At our taste-testing we had a hard time decided which flavors to go with, because they were all so delicious. In the end, we went with lemon cake with Bavarian cream and blueberries. Wow! It was just as good on our wedding day as it was the day we tasted it…so moist, rich, and perfectly baked. Not to mention it was beautiful! I also love that Nicole’s cakes have several layers within each cake layer, so when it was cut, it was beautiful as well as tasty.

Wolfe Gourmet Cake’s price was pretty on par for most quality wedding cake providers in the Nashville area, and in my opinion the quality, taste, and service Nicole provides is well worth it. Oh, and her fondant is even tasty! How many wedding cake vendors can say that?!” -Stephanie

“My cakes were beautiful and so good! I want to order another just bc I loved them so much!!!!” -Jenifer

Be sure to check out the extensive flavors and products that Wolfe Gourmet Cakes has to offer.  Wedding and groom’s cake pricing is available upon request and consultation.  To make an appointment with Wolfe Gourmet Cakes, contact them directly at 504.214.4410 or let us set up your appointment by emailing us at elizabeth@studiowed.net.

StudioWed Nashville Real Wedding by Joe Hendricks Photography | Carla and Whit

This Nashville bride and groom are just as beautiful as the story that led them to the altar last November.  Nashville wedding photographer, Joe Hendricks tells us their story:

Carla and Whit have known each other since kindergarten. Their love and friendship have been growing all of their lives, and they actually can’t remember a time when they didn’t know each other. Their families were close as they grew up, so you can only imagine how much fun their wedding [was] where absolutely no one [was] a stranger! I just love their amazing story! Carla and Whit traveled from Sacramento to Nashville for their beautiful wedding at Scarritt-Bennett chapel and Hillwood Country Club. -Joe Hendricks Photography
