How many years have you been in business?

5 years

How did you get started in weddings?

When I got married in 2006, I really wanted a photo booth at our wedding. One of my friends in another state had one and it was a huge hit. My husband met the inventor of the patented Model 12 photo booth at a promotional event and we made the decision to bring them to middle Tennessee, where we remain the exclusive vendor with these patented booths to this day.

What is your service philosophy?

We did a lot of research before deciding which equipment to purchase when we opened our business in 2007. There’s no question that we offer the BEST photo booths available. The way we’ve developed the reputation as the photo booth company, that all our competitors measure themselves against, is by carefully selecting and training our employees. We make sure the experience we provide is first class and even better than we promise, and we focus on maintaining our relationships with fellow vendors.

We’re on time, we’re professional, our attendants treat our clients’ guests like royalty, and we’re worth every penny of hard-earned money our clients pay to give us the privilege of serving them.

What are your strengths compared to others in your category?

Besides what we said above, NO ONE in middle Tennessee has the equipment to provide as many sittings per hour as we do, and no one else uses dye sublimation printing to produce photos that are of the same quality you’d get at a professional photofinisher.

What attracts brides to your service/company?

The lion’s share of our business comes from referrals, either from people that have experienced our booths at a wedding they have attended, or from a vendor that they’ve hired.

What would previous couples say was the main reason they selected your company?

Most of our previous clients will tell you that their wedding day is no time to settle for cheap imitations. Our spotless reputation as the most trusted photo booth company in middle Tennessee ensures them that once they book us, they won’t have to give it another thought and they can focus on all the other important aspects of their day…like the weather.

Describe the bride/couple that is most attracted to your service/company?

We cater to clients that want the best. Occasionally we’ll get a call from a potential client that asks us to drop our price to what some of the “open air” or “pipe and drape” companies charge. These aren’t our ideal clients. These “booths” are fine for a child’s birthday party, but our ideal client isn’t interested in having a toy at their elegant affair. I can assure you that you’re not going to convince your caterer to provide your guests with the quality food you insist upon at the same price you’d get take-out pizza for. It’s exactly the same thing.

Lotus Blossom Raising Money for March of Dimes

Two surefire ways to appeal to our hearts here at StudioWed is through pets and babies. Little more can warrant squealing and “Oooohing” than the presence of a sweet baby entering our door.

When Amber of Lotus Blossom Photography {and mother of two sweet twins!} told us she was raising money for the March of Dimes, our hearts immediately went out to her! Read her amazing testimony and see how you can support the cause below:

Sometimes I still cry when I think of the day the girls were born.  Unfortunately, it isn’t in the normal way most mothers cry when they think about their children’s birth being one of the happiest days of their life.  I cry because it was scary.  I cry because I wonder if there is anything else I could have done to keep them from being born so early.  I cry thinking of how drastically different our outcome could have been if they had been born just a few decades earlier.  But through all the tears I am thankful.  I am thankful to God for keeping them in that extra 6 weeks after I first went into labor and I am thankful to the March of Dimes for having funded the research that made our happy family possible.

I am participating in the March of Dimes Walk for Babies because I don’t want anyone else to have to think back on the day their babies were born with sadness.  I don’t want any of you to have your first look at your baby be one of fear.  I want better for you and I want better for babies.  Please help me make a day when all babies are born healthy a reality by making a donation on my Walk for Babies fundraising page.

Audrey, born at 34 weeks, 5lbs 3oz

Charlotte, born at 34 weeks, 4lbs 6oz

Audrey and Charlotte now at 4 months old.  Thank you March of Dimes!

Please donate! If you’re interested, there’s a March of Dimes 3-mile walk this Sunday at Centennial Park. Email me at kelly@studiowed.net if you’d like to register to participate!!

Kelly Plans a Wedding: The Dress Alterations

How I wish I could post pictures from my appointments for this! Ever since I found THE DRESS back in November, I have been itching to put that gorgeous piece of loveliness on again. Fortunately, I’ve had two dress fittings since the beginning of February, so I’ve been able to twirl around in it a couple times.

As you know, I purchased my dress from The Bride Room‘s Super Sample Sale last November. As part of the sale, they offered a promotion to get our dresses cleaned and altered for a discount through the incredible Oakwood Cleaners. DeNeal has been with me since the start — she was there to advise when we were first looking at THE DRESS at The Bride Room, and assured us that altering the gown {which has a side-zip} wouldn’t be an issue. Since then, she’s met with me and my mother, helping nip and tuck and bustle and hem my gorgeous confection.

My last appointment is May 1st {in perfect time to be cleaned and pressed for my bridal portraits May 31st}. Mission until then? Kicking my walking wedding workouts into high gear between now and then! I have a stunning dress to fit into flawlessly!!!! :)
