Inspiration: Califlorida Dreamin'

My apologies — it’s been a while since I’ve posted an inspiration board! This theme (Califlorida Dreamin’) has been inspiring me for the past few weeks. I can’t seem to get visions of orange groves, ocean breezes, and palm trees out of my head! Enjoy!

From top left, clockwise:  orange engagement session, orange pearl necklace, peachy bouquet, little brown vase and feather centerpiece, palm frond place setting, orange grove romance, orange buttercream cake, florida centerpiece, little precious flowergirl, lanterns, mango dress, palm beach wedding, lotus blossom centerpiece, starfish favors, ruffled flowergirls, oranges and flowers, suspended oranges, nautical map paper goods.

Amber Housley Inspired – Tampa Recap

A few weeks ago, Amber Housley had her second AH Inspired Workshop — this time in sunny Florida! See this lovely recap video and her post about the experience. So exciting!

Reliving the AH Inspired workshop from just a few weeks back via this video, just makes me SO HAPPY!

The women we met over two days in Tampa/St. Pete came so ready to learn and befriend each other. Maybe it was part sunshine / part beach / part time-out from our everyday lives…whatever it was, these gals (like our gals in Nashville) stole my heart with their happiness and enthusiasm to run with every possible piece of information we could share. I’m so excited to see what all of them have in store for themselves and their business!

Interested in hearing personal and honest feedback of their experience? You can visit the Inspired feedback page here.

Enjoy the video below and the special announcement at the very end!

Vendor Spotlight: Nashville Cake Pops

Okay – lesson learned. DO NOT scour through hundreds of pictures of Nashville Cake Pops‘ scrumptious little treats before lunchtime. YOU WILL INEVITABLY be dying to nibble on one. With that said… Nashville Cake Pops, you are divine! We are thrilled to have you be part of StudioWed Nashville to share in your deliciousness. :) Brides, if you are looking for a cake alternative (or even a tasty little addition to dessert!), look no further. Problem solved!

Read about Nashville Cake Pops’ Founding here:

I have always loved to be crafty & inventive growing up and If you knew my mother you definitely would understand where it rubbed off a bit.  For college I was attracted to Textile Design at NCSU and received a degree in Textile & Apparel Management.  Oddly, I turned to the high volume bar & restaurant industry as my career.  Seventeen years later,  I knew I was ready to start something of my own.  After stumbling upon the cake pop idea in the fall 2010, I began creating the sweet treats not knowing the craze they would start.  When I saw that people were loving this little-known dessert, I immediately started Nashville Cake Pops in December 2010.  Move over cupcake….cake pops became the red hot item among companies to give to their clients & has rapidly grown to be the newest, trendiest treat to have for any occasion.  We love to be imaginative & take pride in every cake pop we make.  These cake pops are not only amazing in taste but in looks too!

Nicole Steen, Founder

{Aren’t they gorgeous? Available in all kinds of colors and designs — So perfect for a Wedding Welcome Bag addition or Party Favor!}

Cake Pops are available in every flavor imaginable!  Signature flavors range from Carrot Cake to Chocolate Fudge, Lemon Cake to Strawberry, Cookies & Cream and Chocolate Peanut Butter. {And don’t forget the ultra-Southern Red Velvet!} This month’s Featured flavors are Key Lime Pie and Pina Colada – delicious!

Now for a little Q&A…

What is a Cake Pop? They are sweet bite size confections of cake & frosting, shaped like a ball, put on a stick, completely covered in a candy coating & decked out!

How many cake pops do I need? If you are planning a party, we recommend 1-2 cake pops per person.  Each cake pop is equivalent to a little more than half of a cupcake.

How far in advance do I need to place an order? Because our Cake Pops are made to order by hand, regular Signature Cake Pop orders placed online, email or phone require a minimum of 2 business days for processing time. For example, if you order on Monday before noon, your cake pops will be ready on Wednesday.  All weekend orders must be placed by Wednesday before noon for a Friday Pick Up.  Please allow 3 business days at least for custom orders.  For specialty orders such as weddings, large events, or corporate gifts please contact us for timing and details.

How do I store my cake pops & how long will they last? For the longest shelf life the refrigerator is the best. If you like your cake pops at  room temperature just take them out an hour before. Because of the hard chocolate candy coating, the Cake Pops have a much longer shelf life than a regular cupcake, and will last well over a week.

Nashville Cake Pops offers a TON of gorgeous designs and ornamentations — so if you’re looking for the perfect place to display your new married monogram or have precious little tuxedo treats, you’re in good hands!
