Kristyn Hogan Published in Weddings Unveiled Summer Issue

Congratulations are in order for Kristyn Hogan, whose styled shoot collaboration with Cedarwood was recently published in the summer print issue of Weddings Unveiled!

An excerpt from Kristyn’s post (complete with full pictures of the impressive 6-page spread!)

It officially hits newsstands in July but I just got my hands on it and had to share! This little Country Charm wedding inspiration came to life by the insanely talented Historic Cedarwood, who are always working tirelessly to inspire brides and offer up some of the most gorgeous, personalized, detail-filled weddings the South has to offer. Below are sneak peeks of the magazine spreads, as well as a few of my favorite photos from the shoot! Make sure to pick up your copy at one of many major retailers this summer (Barnes & Noble, Target, Publix, etc.!)

And for all our StudioWed brides, come pick up a copy at our Studio today!

Welcome Bag Inspiration from Simply Stunning Events

One of the most fun and unique ways to personalize your wedding (as well as treat your guests to something special!) is to create welcome bags for them to receive upon arrival into town! Kristin Kaplan of Simply Stunning Events has written up a lovely post describing must-have contents and more for your welcome bag construction!!

{Nashville welcome bag print, designed by Amber Housley for Southern Weddings! Love it!}

See Kristin’s original post here! And for now, a little excerpt:

If you have many guests traveling from near and far for your wedding, it’s a wonderful touch to give them a welcome bag or basket upon their arrival! These serve as a sweet “thank you” for coming and also ensure that your guests are comfortable while away from home.

Each bag should include some basic comforts of home such as the following:

  • Two small bottles of water
  • Some small sodas
  • Snacks (include something sweet and something salty)
  • Individual packets of Advil or Tylenol
  • A guidebook of things to do and places to eat in Nashville
  • A note thanking your guests for coming

In addition to the basics, you can include basically anything you’d like! The most common “themes” that I see for these bags are the “Nashville” theme and the “couple” theme.
