TOMS Bridal Line

From the TOMS website:  “In 2006, American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by TOMS customers.”

Now you can help out shoeless children in need by wearing pretty, comfortable wedding shoes! TOMS just came out with several new styles that are bridal-appropriate, from ivory grosgrain wedges to blue glitter slip-ons that can serve as your “something blue.” TOMS are becoming a widespread trend as bridal party footwear, providing the means for brides and grooms alike to contribute to a charitable cause while staying fashionably on par. To top things off, you probably can’t find a more comfy pair of wedding shoes (no, not even flip-flops!).

Here’s a few of the styles available! Go check out toms.com today!

Inspiration: Off to Wed the Wizard!

It seems as though my inspiration boards have taken an Oz-like twist these days… ah, well! The concept behind today’s inspiration board came from a My Fair Wedding episode in which David Tutera redesigned a tacky, juvenile Wizard of Oz-themed wedding and made it much more classic and cheerful, yet still paying homage to the film. While Tutera’s version was pretty and a million times better than what the bride had planned, I wanted to try my hand at it. Maybe one day I’ll have a television show! ;)

Inspiration: Equestrian

I grew up on a farm with horses. While I haven’t ridden one in quite a few years, something about horse motifs and pretty equestrian details seems oh-so-lovely when it comes to weddings.  One of my all-time favorite wedding venues is the Belle Meade Plantation… stable gorgeousness. I die. Enjoy!

From top left, clockwise:  handpressed, horse figurine, boots, short dress, horseshoe prettiness, ring shot, corbel, diy ribbon, more boots, roses, horseshoe details, menu, postcard invite, bit bracelet.
