What better way to kick off 2013 than by spotlighting one of our newest vendors! We are so thrilled to welcome Beloved Intimates to StudioWed. Since opening in September of 2012, the boutique has received rave reviews, and we aren’t surprised one bit! Owner Emily Tulloh’s love for and expertise in lingerie and intimate apparel truly shine through the carefully hand picked items on her shelves. And for the bride-to-be, they even offer bridal registries and lingerie showers!

Beloved brings the women of Nashville a hand picked selection of unique, high-quality lingerie, bras, loungewear, & bridal accessories. We source hard to find, designer lingerie from around the world that will be available on the local market for the first time. We have thoughtfully curated each piece to reflect our passion for intimate apparel that modern women will appreciate – not only because it looks & feels beautiful, but because of the exceptional construction, comfort, & longevity of each product.

The goal is to provide a warm and inviting environment that transcends department store shopping, where every visitor receives professional service and an unmatched variety of intimate apparel. We are pleased to announce our most recent new member of StudioWed — Royal Icing Custom Cakes!

Royal Icing is a local cake shop where “Our cakes are more about people than cake and sugar.”  Carolyn King-Pennekamp, owner of Royal Icing, specializes in making one-of-a-kind masterpieces for her clients — made with only the best quality ingredients available.  For her, “The ‘icing on the cake’ is when one can do what they love and share their talents with others. I’m blessed to do this everyday at Royal Icing. As a self-taught cake designer of 22 years, my family and love of creating meaningful memories keeps inspiring me daily.”

Looking for a beautiful, delicious cake for your special day?  Email us at kelly@studiowed.net and we’ll set you up an appointment with Carolyn to discuss your special day! Here’s what you can expect:

During our design consultation, we will get to know you and your wedding day details. We will discuss wedding colors, style preferences and other details that make up your unique event. We will taste at least 3 of our delicious cake flavors and 2 icing types. Items such as your invitation, photos of your wedding gown or other decor may be brought to help us as items of inspiration in designing a perfectly perfect custom wedding cake. The consultation appointment will last 45 to 60 minutes and are held in our elegant meeting space.

Some of the delicious cake flavors offered by Royal Icing are as follows:  white almond, dark chocolate, coconut, and carrot! Tickle your tastebuds with some swiss meringue filling, fresh fruit, or cream cheese… and top it off with the buttercream, ganache, or fondant of your dreams! We had the opportunity to try three full-size cakes at the Studio and goodness, are they delicious! Personally? I recommend the coconut cake with swiss meringue — it’s like a day at the beach in your mouth!
