A couple of months ago, we at StudioWed endeavored to design a styled shoot for the Summer issue of Enchanted Brides magazine. Armed with plenty of succulents, raspberry-hued peonies, and burlap, we attacked The Hermitage, home of Andrew Jackson and turned the front lawn into an “Enchanted Magical Woodlands.” I personally had the privilege to model for the shoot (lifelong goal accomplished!!!!!!!!) in a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown from The Bride Room with makeup from Amy Lynn Larwig‘s associate, Ana Liza Platt.
Brocade Designs conceptualized the whole thing, incorporating gorgeous florals in glass vessels (along with tree-trunk card holders and a stunning succulent wood-burning by Brocade’s Chloe Walker). Visual Elements draped the lawn with burlap and lace and brought some of their own stock of vintage furniture, which was joined by lounge pieces from Southern Events Party Rental‘s Vintage Prop Shoppe. Hardink Calligraphy provided pretty paper pieces and signage. The Bake Shoppe‘s vine-draped fondant cake (topped with striking purple echeveria) served as a showstopping focal point for the dessert table. And Grand Avenue showed up with a gorgeous vintage 1941 GMI truck for the finale! A Delightful Day oversaw the whole day, making everything happen.
Inspiringly,
~ Kelly
